Spring Salad

On Wednesday I really didn’t know what to cook, so I decided to get some inspiration from all the lovely food the I had in Cambodia.

I ended up making this spring salad with mango, avocado, grilled chicken and home-made croutons.

I love these easy, quick meals, specially on a sunny day. Other healthy recipes/tips are always welcome.

This is a man’s world…

Just before I left for Cambodia, I treated myself on a last sale buy. So when I came home Saturday night, these Asos beauties where delivered got them half priced, yay).

Love the gold detail on the heel

They look amazing under black skinny jeans, love their slight masculine look.

Some temples on the way, loving the kitsch:

Went on a 5 hour boat trip from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and saw some cool things:

Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh  was amazing in its French Colonial style and easily had the best breakfast:

Phnom Penh city:Fake or real? :

Tuol Sleng Museum, quite hard to see how many people died under the Khmer Rouge… (R. J. Rummel, an analyst of historical political killings, gives a figure of 2 million !! ):

Picnic time

I was happy to see the sun followed me to London when I arrived back on Sunday. So me and Paul decided to celebrate it with a nice picnic brunch in Regents Park.

Bye bye Cambodia

Back in London, after an unforgettable trip to Cambodia. Photos can’t capture how amazing this place is. From the motivated people to the great food and nature, I loved it all. Here are some photos off the first part of the trip in Siem Reap:

From brussels to Bangkok with Thai Air, smooth as silk , indeed.

Got served Belgian Waffles when flying above Thailand.

12 hours of playing old game boy games, Thai Air knows how to please me.

Well, I’m setting off for Cambodia now, so I probably won’t post too much within the next week as I will be in the jungle/ on the beach / in temples / wherever the sun takes me…

Last holiday buys

My last buys before I go to Cambodia:

Since almost all my summer clothes got stolen last year at the Pukkelpop Tragedy, I have been looking out for some new basics for a while, definitely with an early holiday coming up. So here are my last summer buys before my Cambodia trip:

Some light fluorescent yellow undies (COS):

2 pairs of shorts :  printed silk (Topshop) + coated denim (Zara)

Simple black loafers (H&M):

The Perfect Black Bag?

I have been looking for a simple, leather shopper/bay for ages. I am always carrying  so much stuff around with me (camera, laptop/iPad, magazines, extra shoes, etc) but I think it’s hard to find a nice, big bag to carry all these things.

So when I saw this bag at Zara yesterday, I simply couldn’t resist it. It’s perfect in a lot of ways:

  • real, smooth, quality leather
  • simple and clean shaped
  • has a bit of an edge with the patent leather gradient
  • And most important: big enough for all my stuff (without making me look like a overloaded tourist)

What do you guys think?
