Margin London 12-02-’12

While London Fashion Week only officially starts next week, fashion events, pre-parties and launches are starting to pop up all over London. After meeting Manolo Blahnik last week,  this coming week is going to be very busy trying to squeeze in as much as possible of these events. (definitely as I am sadly enough missing LFW this time, more about this later)

Yesterday, I was one of the lucky ones who got to go to Margin, The longest running independent fashion trade event in London,  renowned for providing a successful launch for new fashion designers, alongside credible established brands. Margin has welcomed key stores to the exhibitions since first launching in 2002; from department/online stores, such as Selfridges, ASOS, Saks 5th Avenue, Urban Outfitters, to name a few. They also welcomed numerous stylists and fashion editors from magazines including Vogue, Elle, Wallpaper, Cosmopolitan, Vice, Sportswear International and many more.

So you understand I felt very honoured to be able have a look around and spot some of the newest big designs and trend. Here are some of my favourite finds and snapshots.

I loved the well designed male coats from street wear brand Ichiban, and the lovely fabrics of young Japanese designer Ryoko Nagano. But I was the most impressed by the No Love Lost collection. No Love Lost’s distinctive, graphic design-influenced, fashion-forward prints where incredibly current and strong. I loved their silk and wool scarves and tops. This is definitely a brand to keep an eye on!Have a look at their full collection here.

Some snapshots:Beautiful patterns and fabrics in the No Love Lost collection

Loved the materials that young Japanese designer Ryoko Nagano used (especially the lingerie!)

I came home loaded with goodie bags, look-books and magazines to really immerse myself into all those new (undiscovered) brands and trends:

Have a nice week!
