mid-season pleasures

The best thing in London (and possibly also the worst) is that there are shopping opportunities everywhere. Around this time, most stores are having  mid -season sales, which I off course can’t resist. These are some of my latest sale treasures:

  • Black sleeveless shirt: Topshop
  • Black thin straps racerback top with lace detail: Topshop
  • Grey knitted top: Urban Outfitters
  • Pale yellow dress: Primark
  • Silver tee: Topshop

Picnic time

I was happy to see the sun followed me to London when I arrived back on Sunday. So me and Paul decided to celebrate it with a nice picnic brunch in Regents Park.

Peplum brunch

Seeing all these peplum  pieces on the runways nowadays reminded me of my own peplum skirt i bought 2 years ago at Vero Moda. So I decided to wear it today for a nice Saturday London bunch.

I’m wearing:

  • Black Peplum Skirt – Vero Moda (old)
  • White sheer top – Century 21, New York
  • Black trench – Primark
  • Wedges – Camper
  • Black Leather Arm Cuffs – H&M Trend (also here)
  • Carry-all clutch – American Apparel

What’s in a bag

Just arrived in Austria now, what a long roadtrip fulled with mountain views and McDonalds pitstops. But I am so happy to be here, can’t wait to get out in the snow/sun tomorow.

When I was packing all my stuff for my holiday here, and trying to take only the necessary, even in my handbag, I found out that my “necessary essentials” are very unisex, and I have a very un-girly, all black/white purse contents.

Here are my essentials, that I can’t live without and ALWAYS have to have in my bag:

From top left to right:

  • Carry-all leather clutch – American Apparel
  • Mini bottle of Daisy perfume – Marc Jacobs
  • My “Lucky scorpion” – little store Soho, New  York
  • Black, leather gloves – Primark
  • Oyster card to travel London
  • All white business card holder – Muji
  • Sunglasses – Ray-Ban
  • Silver USB pendrive
  • Orange lipstick – MAC
  • Iphone 4 – Apple
  • Analogue camera
  • Sheer purse – KG by Kurt Geiger

What’s always  in your bag?

struggling for thin belts

I have to admit, I don’t like shopping at Primark, its hectic, busy, messy and there is way to much to see and take in, in once.

So when I go there, I always need to set myself some goals, like the other day, I needed (+wanted) a new belt. So I planed my route through the mass, all the way up to the accessories floor. When I got there, after squeezing myself through, almost tripping over more than 1 kid/dog/shopping basket, I felt proud of myself I made it and I got rewarded by not finding 1, but 2 belts I liked, both for 1 pound!

What do you guys think? Worth the struggle?

Buns & roses

As you all know, it was V-day yesterday. me and my bofriend didn’t really plan to do anything, as we where both working in the day, and have a week full of pre-parties/launched/… for LFW ahead of us.

But, as we where op quite early in the morning, we decided to have a nice breakfast out together. We went to this amazing place near us called the Scandinavian Kitchen. As it is almost opposite the agency I work for,  I could stay warm and cozy until 5 minutes before I had to start. I really love Scandinavian food as it is always so healthy and pure.(AND it fits with the nordic cold weather at the moment!). Besides  honest priced meals, the Scandinavian Kitchen also has a little supper market inside with some real Scandinavian goodness!

Love the place!

I was wearing my new, nude colored KG beanie hat +  Leather jacket from Only + Black Forever 21 dress + American Apparel Male Cardigan & Clutch + Leather Primark gloves  + Topshop boots

How was your v-day?

summer vs winter

Last week, when I was cleaning out my closet looking for old treasures (also see this post), I rediscovered my dusty pink Simone Hooper dress I bought last summer.

So, as it is incredibly sunny in London, I decided to layer this summer dress up a bit with my Vintage Armani shirt (also seen here) , and actually wear it as a “winter piece” to go out, have some lunch, do some shopping, wander around Selfridges (amazing around Valentines time , think: free chocolate fountain taster etc).

Wearing Simone Hooper dress, Giorgio Armani vintage shirt, Only leather Jacket, Topshop Boots, Primark leather gloves, Rayban Sunglasses

Oh how much I love the sunny streets of London

Black Ninja, fight the snow

Can’t go wrong with wearing all black today to go to work. Although I am brightening it up with my bright white leather watch, shiny gold hair cuff and beige suede jacket. London is still freezing, and covered in a muddy layer of snow. Hopefully I will be able to make my way through without slipping…
